Dr Beth Thompson DO
Dr Beth grew up in a rural area of Montana and attended Montana State University, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After working for several years at Hewlett Packard Company, she began to feel a pull to do something that was more meaningful to her and more sustainable. During that time of personal searching, she read Spontaneous Healing by Andrew Weil, M.D. He described the work of Robert Fulford, D.O. who practiced traditional osteopathy. This was a turning point and allowed her to pursue the practice of osteopathic medicine. She attended Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California where she received the Doctor of Osteopathy degree. After graduation, she completed an integrated Family Medicine/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando in Orlando, Florida, where she was a chief resident. She has attended many hours of addtitional coursework in osteopathy including 40 hour basic cranial courses, visceral courses, Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation courses. She holds board certification in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. She is currently engaged in additional coursework through a fellowship in Endobiogenic Medicine and Integrative Physiology.
